A charity netball tournament will kick off a year of fundraising activities from a Bury St Edmunds chartered accountants in support of a local charity.

RSM have chosen to support the GeeWizz charitable foundation over the next 12 months with a big emphasis on health and fitness planned for the next few weeks.

Staff have organised a mixed charity netball tournament on Thursday 1st June at Culford School Sports and Tennis Centre and a rounders tournament.

Not content with that, a group from the leading mid-tier provider of accountancy and business services will also be taking their place in the Orwell Walk on Sunday 26th June in support of the charity, founded by Gina Long MBE.

Abi Robinson, audit manager at RSM, said: “Supporting charity has been a big part of the company for the last few years as we always want to give back to our local community.

“We recently spoke to our staff about what they wanted from our charity work and a big thing was to support a local cause and know exactly how their fundraising is being spent.

“When we heard about all the fantastic work Gina and the GeeWizz charity has done, it seemed like the perfect fit.

“We are delighted to be supporting GeeWizz over the next 12 months and helping families in Suffolk.”

Gina said: “We cannot thank the staff at RSM enough for supporting our charity for the next 12 months.

“Transparent giving is at the heart of GeeWizz and every penny raised by RSM and their events will support families living in their community.”

There are still places available for the mixed netball tournament which starts at 5.30pm on 1st June.

Teams have to be made up of at least seven players with both male and female participants, but no experience of netball is needed.
