The Ultimate Christmas Present

 In News

Santa has arrived early for two Ipswich families this Christmas. The Cattermole’s and the Fulchers, both supported by GeeWizz Charity, have been gifted a variety of vouchers to purchase Christmas presents with this festive season. The vouchers were kindly provided by Duncan and Kara Foster from Encore Wellness Needham Market, who have raised hundreds of pounds throughout the year to support both families.

Luke Cattermole, who lives with his four brothers and mum Kirsty, sadly suffers from Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy, meaning that he requires constant and specialised care. Christmas can be a costly time of year for any family, especially for mum Kirsty who is Luke’s full-time carer. Luke and his family will truly have a magical Christmas after receiving the generous donation from Duncan and Kara.

Andrew and Mick Fulcher, affectionately known as Mick and Sprock, suffer from Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy, a severe muscle-wasting condition, leaving them requiring 24-hour care from mum Lynn. Mick and Sprock enjoy spending time and making memories with their family, the generous donation of gift vouchers will certainly enable the Fulcher’s to enjoy a wonderful Christmas together.

GeeWizz Charity aims to change the lives of families locally, by providing specialist equipment or physiotherapy to children and young people suffering from life-threatening conditions or disabilities. Those who fundraise for GeeWizz benefit from their ethos of transparent giving and knowing exactly who their raised funds will benefit.

Kara Foster of Encore Wellness, Needham Market, says “Helping families in need to enjoy a wonderful Christmas is a fantastic feeling.”

“I am delighted to support GeeWizz through various fundraising events held at Encore Wellness. Knowing that the funds raised are truly making a difference to the lives of those in our local community is utterly heart-warming.”

Crystal Barber, Manager of GeeWizz Charity, says, “We are so grateful to Duncan and Kara, who have generously raised funds this year to ensure two of our GeeWizz families enjoy a magical Christmas together.”
