Students present Charity with funds to change local lives

Students of West Suffolk College have been working hard throughout the last 12 months to raise funds for Suffolk-based GeeWizz Charity.

As part of their Business course, the students had to devise their own fundraising initiatives as part of Global Enterprise Week. They took part in activities such as Bake Sales, Raffles, an evening Networking Event for local businesses and even a Christmas Jumper Day.

The fantastic work of the students has raised over £1,500 for GeeWizz Charity, who support children and young people living with life-threatening conditions, a disability or cancer. The cheque was presented to Crystal Barber, Executive Manager of GeeWizz, who said, “I am overwhelmed at the incredible fundraising efforts the students have shown to raise funds for local families.”

“Their hard work really will change the lives of families that we support in the Suffolk area, and they should all feel so proud of their achievement.”
