Million Pound Auction once again launched by Suffolk Charity

 In News

The Ultimate Charity Auction has already raised £1,000,000 and was created by a Suffolk farmers wife from a small farm office in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. The global auction was the first of its kind when launched in 2012 and is still run from the same farm office, where the reach of the auction continues to exceed the small team’s wildest dreams. It has once again brought together some of the biggest names in sport to offer a glittering array of over 100 money-can’t-buy experiences.

Founded by charity philanthropist, voluntary fundraiser and farmers wife Gina Long MBE, who has raised over £4,500,000 throughout her life, the auction has raised £1,018,000 to date for a range of charities over the years. The auction has seen a fantastic collection of prizes from the biggest names in sport and celebrity, where over 1,000 incredible items and experiences have been donated over the years.

This year the Ultimate Charity Auction will be supporting a 2-year old poorly little girl called Emily Mullen, by funding a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Disneyland Paris. Emily, who is blind, suffers from a series of complex health conditions and is now classed as being terminally ill.

Her love of Disney songs saw her family begin their own fundraising campaign to get her to Disneyland – whilst she is still with them. This will now be made possible by the efforts of the Ultimate Charity Auction.

Gina, who works as a volunteer, has built relationships over the years with some of the biggest names in celebrity and lifestyle, all from her family’s farm office. Prizes have included Jose Mourinho’s FIFA Ballon d’Or, Meet and Greet with Sir Alex Ferguson, Private Breakfast on the Great Wall of China, an exclusive Royal Ascot experience, plus the chance to see World Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua defend his title at New York City’s Madison Square Gardens.

Funds from the global online auction will also support the GeeWizz Charitable Foundation, who provide specialist equipment to children and young adults living with life-threatening conditions or a disability, and the charitable work of the League Managers Association charity.

Gina said: “This year the auction has really stepped up a gear. We have over 100 incredible sport, lifestyle and celebrity prizes on offer, raising funds to support the fantastic work our benefitting charities do, on a totally transparent and accountable fundraising platform”

Other outstanding prizes include a behind-the-scenes tour of Tottenham’s new 63,000-capacity stadium, the chance to watch FC Barcelona train and play at the famous Camp Nou stadium and Alan Brazil and Chris Evans are even inviting you to join them on their Breakfast shows on TalkSPORT and Virgin Radio.

The auction gives you the opportunity to own an extremely rare ‘only one in the world’, framed Artist Proof photograph of ‘Nowhere Man’, by internationally renowned photographer Tom Murray, celebrating 50 years since the Beatles Mad Day Out in 1968. The photograph was aptly named as the gentleman pictured with the Beatles was asleep with no idea who was standing next to him, and to this day has not been located. The Ultimate Charity Auction is campaigning this year to find this man…

There are also 10 unique prizes from Ed Sheeran’s personal collection, you can own One of One “Ed Sheeran Large Proportions” painting, that has been signed by the superstar himself. It was created for Ed by internationally acclaimed artist Adam Klodzinski, an urban street artist also known as ‘SOAP’.
