Sad news from GeeWizz Charity…
To everyone who is and has been a part of our very special GeeWizz Charitable Foundation…
It is with a heavy heart I am writing to you having taken the unwelcome, unexpected decision to mothball all GeeWizz Charity operations for the foreseeable future.
As a consequence of this, I have today had no choice and no other option but to make our amazing Jade Perry, redundant. Jade will always be an integral part of GeeWizz. Within five minutes of breaking this news to her, she suggested we do a mass ‘long-life goods’ shop on behalf of GeeWizz to support another small, local great charity and food bank, Gatehouse. This reflects the incredible woman on every level that Jade is. Crystal and I will miss her hugely, her redundancy has been accepted with such graciousness and understanding, in looking at what is best for GeeWizz going forward.
With the situation regarding the Coronavirus pandemic developing so fast and everything in our everyday lives changing so rapidly, we have had to postpone our global online fundraiser, which was to be announced next week, until further notice. All other GeeWizz events and projects have been postponed or cancelled too, as is sadly happening throughout every other industry and sector.
Please be assured that as a charity, our commitment to remaining a very special, very small local charity, one that helps change many local lives, stands fully.
We will, of course, keep you updated in the next few months.
We send you our heartfelt thanks again for your invaluable support. I know you will all be joining me, in wishing Jade well in her new career path that she will be embarking on shortly. Whoever Jade is working with, they will be so lucky to have her.
Wishing you and your families well, stay safe and do take care in these precarious times.
