Bespoke accommodation for short breaks and an outreach programme, with specialist palliative care nurses, for young adults aged 14 upwards from across East Anglia with life-limiting illnesses. This programme has been funded by proceeds raised from the Ed Sheeran : Made in Suffolk Legacy Auction.
Funding and project management of an entire redevelopment of the playground. Attended by pupils from across Suffolk, aged 4 – 16 years, with high dependency disabilities and special educational needs, the previous playground was inaccessible to pupils in wheelchairs. With works well underway, the new playground will feature sensory areas, a sound tunnel, creative spaces, beach huts and a woodland area.
Specialist equipment for hearing impaired pupils to benefit from revolutionary technology, including microphones, hearing aid chargers and a new sound system. GeeWizz has also transformed learning by enabling special educational needs pupils to access soothing sensory displays and educational games during lessons through the provision of a sensory magic carpet at The Riverwalk School Bury St Edmunds, The Bridge School, Ipswich, The Priory Bury St Edmunds, and Hillside School Sudbury.
