What we do
We support children and young adults throughout East Anglia with life-threatening conditions, a disability or cancer. Our focus is to provide much needed specialist equipment to help improve their lives.
Our aim is simple – to supply, through the generous support of our volunteers, fundraisers and sponsors, the best equipment for every child and young adult we support.
#Transparent giving We control our costs to ensure that every £1 donated or raised is carefully spent and focused on helping to change local lives.
“We are truly grateful for all the inspirational support and enthusiasm we receive from our GeeWizz friends and fundraisers.”
By supporting children and young adults we also support their families; providing specialist equipment that has a direct impact on the quality of their lives.
With the help of our incredible fundraisers, supporters and donors local families across Suffolk and Norfolk may benefit; receiving much needed equipment to enhance daily care, mobility and well-being.
“George was born with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 2. GeeWizz supplied a bespoke powered wheelchair and now he can move around independently – its made such a difference to our family life”

Supporting our community
GeeWizz strives to take an active part within the community; developing fundraising events that ‘give-back’ as well as raise awareness and much needed funds.
Our annual Pumpkin Patch provides a fun autumnal opportunity for families, schools and the community to come together with pumpkins donated to West Suffolk Hospital. We believe we are the first UK 100% charity Pumpkin Patch raising funds for our community supporting local families living with a life-threatening condition, disability and cancer. We welcome and embrace children with disabilities and their families to enjoy the event as our guests.
On 19 October 2019 GeeWizz will welcome all local children for a fun family day. While entry, parking and the Maize Maze are all free to the public, donations are requested for each pumpkin – in what is believed to be one of the first charity pumpkin patches in the country.
We also support local special needs schools providing essential equipment to enhance children and young adults lives.
” We would like to thank everyone who supported the fundraising for the Magic Carpet. It is a fantastic way to engage with the children and motivate them” – Jan Hatchell, headteacher at Riverwalk School, Suffolk
With fundraising partnerships at the University of Suffolk and The West Suffolk College GeeWizz has inspired students to take an active part in their community, developing fundraising initiatives from Gala Dinners, auctions, car -wash to Fashion Shows. Mentoring students for 12 months Gina Long MBE also supports Global Enterprise Week with 250 students experiencing business and discovering what it takes to be a successful entrepreneur.
“A group of ten young people took part in the National Citizen Service to support the GeeWizz charity with a charity car wash at Fornham Business Court. They also helped plan prizes for the Ultimate Charity Auction, the global online fundraiser to raise money for GeeWizz and the League Manager Association Charity”
